A Connecticut native, Jennifer fell in love with learning how the mind works after she took her first psychology course in high school and pursued a Bachelors of Neuroscience from Boston University. Inspired to volunteer in her home state, she gained invaluable experiences serving various populations though the healthcare sector with those uninsured and veterans and in her faith community with the youth. It was only until a mentor of hers introduced her to the public health field that she recognized she was right in the middle of it and loved the journey. It was while working on a research project that further demonstrated to her that overall health is more than physical but also mental and to add to that spiritual. She obtained her Masters of Public Health with interests in health equity, mental health in marginalized communities and health policy. She is excited to be a part of the Love-On familia and to contribute in any way she can towards discovering more about what can be done in the intersection between faith and mental health.
