Love-on's Bridging the Gap conference is tailored to pastors, ministers, and ministry leaders. Our desire is to educate, train and empower ministers and leaders to bridge the gap between faith and mental health within their ministries and remove the stigma that suggests they should work independently of each other; often with unwavering opposition.
Ministry leaders are tasked with caring for the spiritual lives and needs of others and can sometimes be challenged while caring for the emotional and mental health of others. This conference will address topics that will help leaders identify indicators of mental health within their ministries and challenge their own biases and concerns about faith and mental health within the church.
Topics
The impact of culture on mental health
The impact of social media on mental health
Healthy self-leadership
The vulnerability of the leader
Self-care
Admission is free, but registration is needed. Register here!
Love-on ‘s Creative Team has been invited to speak about Mental Health in Today’s Church.
Love-on is launching it’s very own podcast: Love-portion. You can find it on your favorite podcast platform.
Through this podcast we hope to further love-on’s mission to bridge the gap between faith and mental health, and eliminate the stigma that suggests that these should work independently from each other and often times with unswaying opposition.
Greetings and blessings in abundance! In light of the current global and social occurrences around the COVID-19 virus the Love-on Creative Board has met to discuss and review the current Connecticut State, and Department of Health guidelines for large gatherings. Love-on’s board has carefully reviewed our ability to follow these guidelines and has voted to postpone the in-person conference as our desire is to safeguard individuals during these times. Additionally, we are not prepared to provide attendees with an appropriate level of safety/health measures due to the overwhelmingly lack in availability of supplies.
Though the in-person portion of this event has been postponed until further notice we are excited to announce that we will still facilitate a live stream event: Love-on "MEET US LIVE".
Please join us live through Facebook as we cover some of the information that would have been facilitated in the workshops. The live event is schedule for Saturday, April 4th 2020 at 11:30am.
We hope you join us!
