Professor, Dr. Iván Tirado believes learning is about transformation. He achieved a Ph.D. in Education in Instructional Design and is also an artist with a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities in Fine Arts. Dr. T (as his students call him) received also a certificate in counseling psychology. In all the courses he designed, he guides their students to understand the relationship, influence and interaction of cognitive, affective, physical and spiritual factors in relationship with the environment and behavior. His students explore these factors to understand the core characteristics of their origins, identity, purpose, morality and destiny. The exploration covers every area of life through the perspectives of natural sciences, social sciences, art, and the humanities. Dr. T is currently teaching at Quinnipiac University and the University of New Haven. His courses cover philosophy and psychology, health sciences, and communications. Dr. Iván Tirado is also a campus elder at Vox Church Hartford. Being a Christian for many years, Iván sees life in Christ as a never-ending superhero adventure. Every day is an opportunity to grow, be transformed and influence others.
“Individuals are not just the result of their environment or life circumstances, but rather individuals consciously contribute to their environment or life circumstances to change their environments and themselves.”
