Carolina has always had a vivid imagination; it lent itself for an adventurous childhood. She spent much of her upbringing chasing unicorns and saving imprisoned princesses. Although her courageous and creative personality is now unable to leap off buildings, fly through the sky in a cape, or fight crime behind a mask, she marvels at the idea of making a difference in a world growing ever further away from God.

Carolina’s creative self was born and raised in Puerto Rico, her passion for art and creativity lead her to get her Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from Western Connecticut State University. Having worked previously with youth and families through various leadership and ministry roles over the course of 8 years, she found a passion for family systems and decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) at Southern Connecticut State University. Today, Carolina is an Approved Supervisor and Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and is licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT. Additionally, Carolina is a Presidential Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Carolina is currently in pursuit of her Ph.D. in Psychology & Counseling with a concentration in Biblical counseling from Regent University.

Carolina’s experience in the therapy room as a bilingual marriage and family therapist has taught her that individuals live in this world longing to be loved, fearing they are not. Through the therapeutic process she has discovered that feeling unloved—though not exactly a clinical diagnostic criteria—is common descriptive language of those who suffer from depression and other mental health disorders. Conflictingly, her experience in ministry reveals that we are loved by a God who takes great measures to show it. This incongruence prompted her to establish Love-on, Inc. Her passion to help others navigate through the stigmas that suggest with unswaying opposition that faith and mental health should work independently from each other is what informs her research and work.

In her therapeutic role she specializes and enjoys working with those involved in ministry whether a couple, individual, or family member as she understand first hand the unique nature of being “in ministry" and the challenge that may surface because of the demands of trying to find a healthy harmony to marriage, family, ministry and life.

When not in session, Carolina can be found reading a book, cooking, worshiping, or spending time with her husband, Yilbin and Paw-kids Sir Romeo and Miss Juliet.

“I carry a kingdom vision in a humble and sometimes clumsy body. The vision belongs to Him, and I, well, I’m just a creative soul with a sense of humor that has proven to keep me sane when life does not go as expected. My faith however, informs my lifestyle. I have chosen to live my life as the greatest expression of worship so that it may serve as a platform for His will do be done. If my life and work speak of his love, then I surely lived. I never imagined this moment right now; not even in my wildest childhood adventures, But, I always wanted to be a superhero though; that is sort of the same thing, right?”
